We own or control approximately 10.5 million acres of timberlands in the United States and manage additional timberlands under long-term licenses in Canada. We manage these timberlands on a sustainable basis in compliance with internationally recognized forestry standards. We are also one of the largest manufacturers of wood products in North America. Our company is a real estate investment trust. In 2023, we generated $7.7 billion in net sales and employed approximately 9,300 people who serve customers worldwide.

The company has a significant presence in North Carolina and the local area. As one of the area’s larger employers, Weyerhaeuser owns close to 44,000 timberland acres locally and over 634,800 acres in North Carolina. The New Bern location is important to us, as we have developed five other master-planned communities in the area.
