Weyerhaeuser is proud to serve as the developer of West New Bern. Having begun operations in 1900, the company is one of the world’s largest private owners of timberlands. Weyerhaeuser owns or controls approximately 11 million acres of timberlands, primarily in the United States.
The company has a significant presence in North Carolina and the local area. As one of the area’s larger employers, Weyerhaeuser owns close to 44,000 timberland acres locally and over 570,000 acres in North Carolina. The New Bern location is important to us, as we have developed five other master-planned communities in the area.
